I grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts where I loved spending time outside. Nature was and is still magical to me. Painting is my connection to the natural world. I strive to capture the mood, emotion and luminosity of nature in my paintings. The woods, fields, rivers,skies, coastline and seasons of New England are a constant source of inspiration. I am drawn to places that seem as if they have been there forever.
My work is varied in approach and process. I paint in different mediums, acrylic, oil, and pastel. My abstract paintings which I paint with oil or acrylic are intuitive and loose. With pastel my work is representative and detailed.
When I feel I have made a connection, conveyed a mood, captured the sunlight…all is right with the world!
