After graduating from New England School of Art, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Art from Northeastern University. For many years, she worked in the commercial art field as a graphic designer and illustrator.

The woods, fields, rivers, skies, and coastline of New England, as well as the changing seasons, are a constant source of inspiration for her contemporary landscapes. Her paintings have been described as having an atmospheric quality with a sense of place.
